2020 LIBERTY WALK
June 25, 2020 marks 70th anniversary of the start of the Korean War. This year’s 6.25 Liberty Walk is
dedicated to:
Cpl. Richard L. Bolognani, KIA Aug 18, 1952
Lt. Thomas W. Livingston Jr., KIA Sep 22, 1952
The 24th Infantry All Black Regiment
Because of the pandemic, the Walk will not be as a group. Though we will be apart, we will walk as one. The Walk will be happening in Nevada, New York, New Jersey, Vermont, California, Connecticut, Florida, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Canada, France, India, Korea, Nepal and perhaps in Ethiopia as well. Each participant will walk anywhere from 1 to 10 miles, raising two dollars per mile to help the Foundation. Our goal of 70 miles has already been met. Please pledge your support. The funds raised will be used towards a scholarship in memory of Cpl. Bolognani of Readsboro, Bennington County, Vermont. The mission of the 6.25 Foundation work is to honor the American soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice—giving up their lives in the defense of the values they held dear while fighting in the Korean War.
Thank you for your support.

To Friends participating in the Walk, The Korean War broke out on June 25, 1950. This year marks 70th anniversary.
Changwha and I are walking 10 miles from Vermont to Granville, NY on June 25 in memory of all who gave their precious lives for freedom and democracy. Those who want to participate will pick his/her route and walk. Our goal is total 70 miles and as of this morning I have 64 miles. If you could join it would be that much more meaningful. Minimum requirement is one mile. Let’s walk for Cpl. Richard. Let’s make sure his sacrifice is remembered. Hope you are well and safe.

Tom joining from Argentina
Congratulations for the most thoughtful commemorative walk. A wonderful way to remember all who suffered through that terrible war. Lest we forget, Tom PS all well here in Argentina. I’m continuing to climb the stairs of my apartment building, and have completed climbing the elevation of the highest mountains on all seven continents. Now only a few
days from the ‘summit’ of Mt Blanc, which will be my seventh peak!
Update:
We are now over 100 mile strong. Join us! Walk with us!
Thank you for your support.

Dear Sam and Changwha,
Thank you for letting me walk with you yesterday. It was an honor.
Thank you for the support of American veterans who receive little support from the government once they have served.
Thanks for your support of our little church. We have many challenges and I hopes we will be able to make it. We have a service on Sunday at 10:30 maybe I will see you. Warmest regards, Steve

Thank you for your enthusiastic, initiative friendly task which is interesting, healthy and for the global peace. I enjoyed it very much together with my wife we walk all the way by the Bagmati river to Patan(the historical town) from my place and walked back which was with full energetic and some decent unknown power we fill during our walk. I guess it is not less than 10 KM each way.

I live near by monkey temple (top of a hill white dome, Swoyambhunath) which you can see on the background of my picture where you have met “Mincho” that young Korean couple on your Nepal visit. I walk further to near by Airport and the arena / stadium via Ringroad Highway too. (Trying to circle the Ringroad but need to stop and return due to rain) Since it is raining from throughout the day and because of this pandemic as all is shutdown very few people have watched us walking some has taken photos of us too if any headlines I will forward it to you from the local news. I did not gather too many as of this pandemic as everyone frightened but may be next year I will keep all these safely and can organize a big rally if interested after your permission. This is news from Nepal 🇳🇵 today. Let’s prey for safety and peace in the world. Thanking you and with sincere regards,
