Private Leo Paul Telesphore Savard
Private Savard was born on August 28, 1934, in Coos County. He was a Medical Aidman attached to Medical Company, 32nd Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. On October 24, 1952, Private Savard was killed in the Battle of Triangle Hill known as the Operation Showdown in North Korea while tending to his wounded soldiers.

He is fondly remembered in the hearts of all grateful Korean people. For his brave and unselfish service, Private Leo Paul Telesphore Savard was awarded,
