6.25 Foundation honors American soldiers who gave their lives in the Korean War. We do this by making donations to the school libraries of the soldiers’ hometowns.

Corporal Ernest Edgar Basham was born in Mississippi on 4 Apr 1935. As far as we know he was the youngest of 351 soldiers from Mississippi and one of the very last who died in the Korean War. He went missing and was declared dead on July 8, 1953. He was a Light Weapons Assault Crewman of the US Army attached to Company E, 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division.
